I have been watching the show of "Desperate Housewife" every Sunday evening. The show is pretty popular but I am still surprised that my 15 years old daughter told me all of her friends and her teachers watch it.

Today, Lonette, a "good" wife of a "loser" husband, did some ridiculous things to help her husband.  The husband felt more like a "loser" after he knew his wife helped him. so desperate? What a pity!

Fine words win honour,

Fine actions win respect,

if a man sins, do not abondon him,

if a man gains power, do not bribe him

The story sounds good but I do not find anything new about it,as traditional womanhood is all tenderness, milk of human kindness, compassion par excellence and sugar and spice and all things nice.I am unfamiliar with Desperate House Wife but it seems only the recreation of the woman of the past who lived a life of divine virtue with a libertine husband.

Confucius once saw a woman in a cemetry where she was fanning the mound of wet sand on her husband's  newly dug grave. He was full of pity for the woman and was deeply charmed by her ineffable love for her dead husband. He tried to console her saying that death is some times very cruel and it is so callous about the pang that it leaves in the mind of the dead person's soul mate. But the woman struck the great seer dumb and spell bound. She told him that she was much lifted ou of herself because of the death of her husband, whom she loved  the zilch. She was fanning the wet mound of the grave, as their social law did not allow another marriage to a widow until her husband's grave was dry.The woman was trying to dry the grave by fanning the mound in order to get into wed lock soon.

Women are good and bad and so are men.
