Uyghurs is one of the most colorful and romantic ethnic minorities in China,nonetheless today number more than nine million.As a largest ethnic group,they have played an important role in Xinjiang history.Xinjiang is geographically characterized of being China's largest administrative region,covering approximately 1/6th of China's total territory.In a geographical sense,Xinjiang can also be defined as a peripheral land and one of the most isolated region.(trasfered from ASAD SULAYMAN's latest book "EGO AND IDENTITY")
