Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And days of auld lang syne?
We two have run about the braes,
And pulled the gowans fine.
But we've wandered many a wary foot
Since auld lang syne.
We two have paddled in the brook
From morning sun till dine,
But seas between us broad have roared
Since auld lang syne.
And here's a hand,my trusty friend
And give us a hand of thine,
We'll take a cup of kindness yet
For auld lang syne.
