December 17, 2007

In the evening, as usual I called my family. I spoke to dad discussing my future and the family life of the young people of society today.

Inevitably this conversation touched the most sensitive string of my heart and touched that dream and hope I live with from the day to day.

It is already a year and half since I talked about my sexual orientation to my parents in China, and after a short bedlam, since then nothing has changed either for better or worse!

My dream- one day to live with my beloved, whatever who he is but if only we love each other. I have found my sexual orientation for a long time, but more deeply and strongly since early of 2004 when I first came to Australia. For long time I resisted my feelings, and tried to deceive myself about the the impossibility of achieving my most cherished wish! But now I think I have known what  I want, the only obstacle or gulf is about Chinese morality.  Four years overseas life has changed me a lot. I have no long been  my parents’ “good boy”. I start to think my own life independently, but hardly to abandoned my “Chinese sense”  which deeply infused into my body.

For a long time I questioned myself” why is me?” but now, I knew I cannot change the fact that I am gay, everything is just the will of god. I do not care about whether people around me love me or hate me, accept me or reject me but I do care about my parents’ feeling, because I love them. I am confusing about my future now, te-hee~ it seems I confused it since long time ago.

Well, as long as there is life there is hope.

be yourself. never try to conceal your true self. in the end, blood is thicker than water and they will learn to accept who you really are. take this from someone who has been in the same path once upon a time.
