Ever since the government of Baden-Wuerttemberg decided to make tolerance towards homosexuals a subject in almost every lesson the schools of Baden-Wuerttemberg offer – like talking about this subject in biology lessons even though scientists aren’t sure yet why some of us are heterosexual and others aren’t or by putting tasks into maths books that deal with how much cakes a homosexual couple can buy for their upcoming marriage from the money they earn – the lines have been very tough-minded. People who protest against these plans to teach even primary school kids about sex and homosexuality say that teaching kids of such a young age about things like these could confuse them, make the number of teenage pregnancies increase and even open them up to pedophiles – as they now think of (unmarried) sex as something normal. They say that they even are backed up by several psychologists who say so. They also doubt the success of these plans as most Germans already do accept homosexuals and the fact that there are jokes that deal with homosexuals doesn’t really prove the opposite as there also are German jokes about other nations and yet most Germans do not discriminate against people for racist reasons.
People who are in favor of this idea accuse their opposition of being religious fanatics who just hate homosexuals – even though a speaker of the these demonstrators clearly says that none of them was against homosexual people, but just against these plans of their government. Furthermore they don’t agree on the worries of the psychologists mentioned above as from their point of view it doesn’t make much sense how teaching children about the dangers of teenage pregnancies could make the numbers of teenage pregnancies increase.
Now a principal who also is a Jesuit stepped in by writing an article in which he urges these two opposing groups to remain objective. He says that all groups have good and correct reasons for their point of view, but that we should leave religion out of this. Religion shouldn’t be used as a reason to discriminate against any group – neither against homosexuals nor against the people who condemn this school project nor against those who in fact condone it. At the same time he also says that he worries about homosexual and potentially homosexual students because of this discussion as this may lead to them feeling pressured to talk about their homosexual preferences or make them feel that they have to decide as soon as possible whether or not they are homosexual even though they aren’t sure yet. It goes without saying thatthis principal means it and as such he deserves to be taken serious for stating his opinion.

I like the following the famous Catholic theologian, writer and lecturer Prof.Ottmar Fuchs wrote in an article of his, because it at least gives Christians one more reason to be tolerant and thus I decided to translate it:” [...] Faith in God is unnecessary, it is a luxury, a luxury of mercy. It isn’t necessary for a good life; not even for a life that does good things to others. It isn’t necessary to have made God the subject of religious puns. Male and female Christians however show that it is good and does feel good to be able to believe in such a God, that it gives resources and strength – especially for solidarity that goes beyond your closest surroundings. When we are asked, we justify this and we let everyone who then becomes curious join us in this faith.
But there are no necessary or forcing reasons for believing to receive salvation. Faith has nothing to do with conditions under which we receive the love of God, but with the conditions under which we recognize this love and under which we internalize it. In this sense faith is as unnecessary, as additional as the “waste-miracle” on the wedding of Cana. (Joh. 2,1 – 12) It is interesting and surprising that the first miracle (described) by John isn’t a healing-miracle. People are already fed and they already had enough to drink. And now they get even more and in addition even better wine. Nobody in here suffers or at least they don’t do so in this very situation. Unnecessarily six more inches-high tanks get filled to the brim. Everything turns to wine! Isn’t this wasting a miracle for the sake of wasting? Of course it’s wonderful to celebrate life and to see under the influence of wine /faith. But nevertheless it is a supra-addition, completely unnecessary, a pure gift that can’t be used to praise yourself or to classify yourself towards others.
Maybe another picture will help, too: You can let Jesus sleep. You don’t have to wake him up in every – even in every dangerous – situation. Even without this urging Jesus remains in the boat and cares for a rescue. That’s why he is rather upset when his followers – worried about the storm – wake him up from his sleep. He calls them cowards, because they have too little faith. (Mt. 8,23 – 26)
This dialectic also reflects in the dialectic between the words of Jesus “Whom is not against us, (automatically) is in favor of us.” and the other word of Jesus “Whom is not with me is against me.”
About the first quote: When other people – without referring to Jesus Christ – have a healing and freeing effect on others, then also their doings are a work of Christ and a work of God’s empire. It goes without saying that the same goes for male and female Christians who don’t find it in their heart to connect welfare to faith and annunciation. [...] Who – no matter in which name – stands by the side of people and shows solidarity – be it the doings of Christians from inside of Christianity to the outside, be it from outside of the church – may let Jesus sleep, i.e. can make use of different forms of expression, be it religious or something else or maybe no such form of expression at all.
Only if God is unnecessary, he can be mercy, because then we don’t have to do something to deserve him, neither by making moral achievements nor by having faith. [...]”
P.S. No, this text – from what I’ve heard – never gave him any trouble at all with the Pope, the religious leader of the Catholics.

Oh! In case anybody worries about this photo being something against copyright issues: A friend of mine sent me this via the e-mail. He explained to me that it was him who took this photo on a trip and when I asked him, he allowed me to use it.

Reupload: This text I wrote also has to do with Christianity, considering that there are Christians out there supporting this disgusting upcoming law: Please! Please! Please! You would do me the greatest favor by at least just reading this. If you don’t have the time to read anything, then at least read the last clause, please. Thank you!
In 2011 there was a discussion in Uganda about whether or not death penalty shall get reintrodiced and if people also should be sentenced to death for being gay. International protests ( also and especially from Obama, the president of the USA ) made them abandon this discussion for the moment. However now they decided to recontinue and if we don’t intervene they are going to kill people simply for behaving according to their nature. Yes, for natural behaviour, because homosexuality can be found everywhere! There are reports and footage proving that homosexuality can be found in the animal kingdom, too. They even filmed intelligent animals, like whales, dolphins or primates which showed homosexual behavior. So you can’t say that this is condemnable, because of being against nature. They say that this is condemnable, because the Old Testament condemns it. When an US-American Christian theologian held a speech about why homosexualty was condemnable according to the OT she received a letter saying something like “What do you think. How much money should I ask for when I sell my daughter into slavery? Because that’s exactly what one sentence written in the Old Testament allows me to do. How should I kill my uncle for growing two things in one and the same field?” You can’t just fix a whole theological theory on one single quotation. 1 Thess 5,21 even says that we should firstly test it and only keep it if it’s still good. I don’t want to go any further. If you really want to know why I – a strictly religious lady – am against discriminating homosexuals and even think that my religion tells me to do so, then you should read “http://www.englishbaby.com/findfriends/view_photo/596319?page=4” ( It’s the comment of 03:13 AM Mar 08 2011. ) and the Catholic Catechism that says that we should respect everyone and that any form of persecution shall be avoided. It’s the comment of 03:13 AM Mar 08 2011.
However David Bahari, a member of Uganda’s parlament as well as of its ruling party also had a comment in favour of this upcoming law, saying that homosexualty could destroy family structures and tolerating homosexuals could have a bad influence on children. I agree on the first comment. Even most younger people still have problems trying to accept “gays” as some still circulating jokes about homosexuals prove. Also organisations like “La Refugee” that adopt adolescents who got abandoned by their parents simply for being gay prove that homosexuals have serious trouble trying to fit in even into their own family. However this could also be considered as a social problem rather than a problem caused by homosexuals. After all the history of Judaism also is full of discrimination, persecutiion and not just one genocide and today nobody would say that the Jews were to blame for what happened to them. Only real nerds would still walk around saying something stupid like “Well, if these Jews hadn’t been Jews none would have killed them. So the problem obviously was that they were Jewish!”
His second comment however sounded like – excuse the word – rubbish to me. I’m sorry, but what sort of influence does he imagine here? That a kid who gets asked why he / she is gay could defend this attitude of his / her by saying “But Peter from 9th grade is homosexual, too. So I make love to someone of my sex, because I want to be like him.”?
What about another example? Nearly all children have an idol and usually this is a movie or a pop star. Does Bahari really think that if one of these stars was gay, a child of under ten years would say “Gee! When I’m grown up, I want to be gay, too.”? I suppose – or at least I hope – not! This would be just ridiculous.
If you want to do something against this madness then please sign the following petitions or inform others about them:
We beat Uganda’s anti-gay bill once! I’m sure we can beat it twice and – if necessary – three times. Thank you for your support!

??? Sorry! I didn’t have enough time yet to watch the video, but do you mean “Project Blue Beam”? Why are you posting this here? That’s nothing but a conspiracy theory…and if you ask me, there isn’t a single conspiracy theory that’s not pure nonsense.
