El Toro Jubilo es la única fiesta de «toro de fuego» que queda en Medinaceli / la provincia de Soria, Castilla, que se celebra la noche del 12 al 13 de noviembre. Es una fiesta de origen pagano que se celebra en la Plaza Mayor y atrae a centenares de participantes y curiosos. Esta fiesta y otras similares han sido objeto de amplio estudio por antropólogos e historiadores y también objeto de crítica, como festejo en el que se infligen sufrimientos, heridas graves e estrés a animales.

Translation: “El Toro Jubilo” (The Burning Bull) is the only festifal of “toro de fuego” (Bull of Fire) that takes place in Medinaceli / the District of Soria, Castilla, which is celebrated on the night between November 12th and November 13th. It is the only festival of heathen origin that is celebrated on the “Plaza Mayor” (marketplace) and attracts hundreds of participants and spectators. This festival and other similar ones have been the object of important studies of anthropologists and historians and also the object of criticism as a festival in which sufferings, bad wounds and stress are inflicted on animals.
