How do you practice English in your company?

Do you have any good experience about practicing English in your company or your department? Even though there is no foreigner. How do you keep on speaking? How do you improve your oral English well?

My all colleagues have to write replies with English,so we have to improve the level our English writing.

Our English is so poor that no one dares to speak with others in English in the office room. All of us are afraid that we could not express our actual mean.We only speak some words in the training center now.

I think I will have no oppority to practise speaking Engish if the training is finished.

Hi, all of you guys, and Jassica, I have saw all of your replys, and I have the same feeling as all of you. I wonder that if this is the feeling of all Chinese english-learners. I found that all you guys are not bad in english, at least not bad than me. And we all have a strong willing to practise english, especially oral english. So, why don't we find a way to contact each other? Like QQ, MSN, ICQ or some other way that can allow us to speak to each other online. Does anybody have some suggestion? But I am sorry that I seldom use it cause I can't surf the net at home. I terminated internet after I study in Web，It is almost 10 o'clock to get home in the evenings, so I don't have enough time.

Actually, everyone can speak English if he/she want. And I don't think your colleagues's English is poor. The main reason should be the environment.

When I was a beginner in Web, I always said nice to see you to someone who I met.

Like you and your colleagues, I also dared not talk to my colleagues in English before even though I could speak English in Web all the time. I was shy and afraid of mistake.

Kindly suggest that maybe you can share this information with your colleagues, find some partners and encourage them to speak English in your company.

In the training center, we discussed speaking English in our company. Everyone thought it was impossible. Even though the teacher of the training center thought it was impossible for us.She said if we tried to talk with others in English,there would be very silent and we would be dumb。I felt sad when I heard about that.But I think maybe the teacher is right.

I remember that I couldn't write any sentence last year, except very very single sentence. I almost forgot the grammar. I couldn't understand what the foreigner said.

Maybe the fastest way to improve English is going to a training center.

Different Asian English speakers have different pronunciation problems when it comes to making themselves understood to other English speakers.

It's a pity that one has to wait for the next visit to a "training center" in order to converse in English, as people are reluctant to talk in the language. You notice that here in Sri Lanka also, though like in China, English is a compulsory school "subject" for everyone.

In China, as you said, we take English as our subject from middle school even primary school untill university. We study English for a long time, but finally we also can't communicate with each other in English.

I heard someone spoke English by self when she walked, but most people said that they dare not do it.

Most people want to find a place to practice oral English. We still can't create this kind of environment by self. That is one of the reasons why the training center is more and more popular.
