What is the different between kids and children?

i've been confused for a long time .

I´ve learnd, that kids is just the american word for children. Maybe I could help you?

A "kid" is a baby goat also, but most people don't even know that :).  "Hey kids" does sound nicer.  I think it's a little more affectionate.  Better to use at some points than "children", but don't think too much about it since they are the same :).  Either one is fine any time.

I think that the kids are from age 4 until 10, but children are under 18

There are other things that worthy to confuse you than just kids and children…:)
