hello
marry Christmas and happy new year!

1) any difference between “tip” and “the ropes”?

2) any difference between “roof” and “shingle”?

3) do you use “bag” to mean “someone’s favorite thing”? is this common?

Thanks a lot
Kenith

These words have more than one meaning. Can you give them in a sentence?

hi kenith.. lemme try
1) ‘tip’ is used for an information/example as a aid to solve some problem. on the other hand ‘the ropes’ is learning by examples(tip).
2) shingle is a roof made of rectangular tiles called ‘shingle’
3)i am not very sure about this, but ‘bag’ can be used to achieve(secure) a favorite thing.
