have you ever heard the phrase "to make a fool out of sbdy"?
e.g:
-stop trying to make a fool out of me! I'll not buy that car, it's broken
-I'm not trying to make a fool out of you, I'm just calling the fool insede you.
to make a foor out of someone means: trying to fool someone I.e: trying to cheat/deceive/trick, etc.
