Dig” can be used in a variety of situations, but it is a very informal word and is more appropriate for friendly conversations. You probably shouldn’t use it in a job interview, but it will make you sound cool when you’re just hanging out with friends. Basically, when you “dig” something, you really like it. You think it’s cool.

Examples

1. Examples - Hear some example sentences.

“I really dig Chinese food. It’s by far my favorite. I dig that jacket. Where did you get it? My brother digs your new bike. He wants to get one just like it. I really dig that girl Sherry. I hope she’ll go to the party with me.”
