Lesson
Summertime is magical. The days are long, the nights are warm, and there's always plenty to do. Summer is the perfect season to spend time jumping in the waves at the beach or enjoying one of the many sports that you can only play when the weather is nice.
A road trip to the beach provides plenty of opportunity to play summer sports. In many beaches worldwide, people love playing football (soccer US), the world's most popular sport. Another popular sport to play at the beach is volleyball. It can be difficult to jump in the sand, but it feels great to play in the sunshine. Of course, surfing is probably the coolest of all summer sports. Surfs up!
If you don't live near an ocean, maybe you'll take a trek to a local lake for some boating or better yet, waterskiing. There's nothing more thrilling than being towed behind a jet boat on skis at more than 60 km per hour! You might also try wakeboarding, which is like snowboarding on water.
Even if you stay in your town or village, there's plenty to do in the summertime. Golfing is a popular way to spend a summer afternoon. Cycling is also very common in the summer. Perhaps you could train for the Tour De France! For purists, walking in the mountains (hiking, US) is the perfect way to pass time in nature. And unless you live in Siberia, you can always sunbathe.
