You don't get it fabs….I'm not defending any side … I'm saying attacking Gaza is this manner is an inhumane and counter-productive way to achieve a peaceful and normal life for the people of Israel.

I respect other people's views…you do not. Just remember I gave you a lot of respect at the beginning, you probably did not even notice! But you lost my respect a while back. No my youtube video comments are just one small part of a big world wide web – and anyone can see on there that I respect everyone's views even if I don't agree – I'm a modest person, I don't expect anyone to agree with anything I say, I don't normally tell anyone what to think 

but I tell you this fabs, you can choose to listen or not….

If you want people to respect you, you respect them.

If you want to speak, you must also listen.

If you want to teach someone, be ready to learn from them too.

If you can't answer a question, be honest about it.

Don't tell people who are older than you, with much more life experience than you, to grow up!

Don't tell someone from Iran you know more about their country's education or media or politics than they do.

Don't tell someone who studies nationalism that Palestine is not a nation.

Don't tell a Palestinian that Palestine does not exist!

War is always inhumane. Unfortunately, it doesn't get stressed enough that this was a last resort by Israel. They tried everything. If Hamas clearly doesn't want to continue a ceasefire and continues firing rockets at your civlians, what recourse do you have? Please tell me, what you'd suggest.

No. That's not what I was saying. At that point in the argument, bringing up 60 year old history when we're discussing the current situation in Gaza and who was behind it, I thought would steer the conversation away into different territory, away from the original topic. Both sides have grievances, this conflict alone isn't going to ease them. It's simply, another phase of bloodletting in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The comment about the coke was my way of ridiculing the absurd idea that Coca Cola is 'Zionist controlled'. You may take it seriously, honestly, I can either get burning mad about it, or make fun of such prejudice. I chose the latter.

Views that start off with premises like 'all Jews are evil', 'Israel is committing genocide' I do NOT respect, because they're nonsense and often prejudicial nonsense. Especially when a lot of these people expect respect for their religion or race.

Thanks fabs, for your explanation, and the tone of your new posts is much better imo. I am sorry that I was rude to you, if we start arguing over who started the insults first, it's like asking who started the aggression first – Israel or Palestine! You and I at least can start again with a clean slate regarding our behaviour and attitude.

I agree with you that comments like 'jews are evil' are not helpful to this discussion and are probably offensive to you.

I am happy to respect the fact that you may be biased towards the Israeli side, because you are Jewish, (but not all jews are supporting this war) and a Muslim may be biased toward the Palestinian side as they are muslims, maybe Arab too. I do not have any ethnic, national or religious ties to either side, so I think it is probably easier for me to be objective, based on what I hear, but that does not mean my opinions are somehow better than any of yours. No-one has said that, but I want you to know I don't think I'm better than anyone. My age does not matter either, but maturity does.

I realise I might seem like an annoying do-gooder, a leftie, a traitor to my culture even? And I'm not a marxist, not even a proper socialist – don't agree with it all. Academically a critical theorist, sometimes post-modernist, politically yes I am left wing!

Going by Otooziki's previous posts, she is unbiased, She would have reacted in a same way if Israeli's or some other people were at the receiving end.(Unlike other Hippocrates here.)

One more Important thing to mention is here, most people outside are supporting Palestine,  because of the human factor and not Hamas factor. Don;t confuse her/their pro-Palestinian stance to pro-hamas stance. People are equally against Hamas. 

She equally hates Hamas as she hates IDF actions
