Reminiscing

Just the other day I was directed to a YouTube video by a friend of mine in Facebook.  I won't mention the song but the poster had put up many Australian songs from that year, 1978.  These songs were very simple, one about the magic qualities of that great culinary creation, baked beans, another about the struggles of a suburban boy trying to make his way in the city and yet another suggesting that young urban professionals (otherwise known as yuppies) should all die.

As stated these songs were all simple in style and substance but I just loved them because I could relate to it.  I now hear many songs from modern artists and it really gets me to thinking.  If these songs are popular because the young of today can relate to them then to me is really does signal a degrading of our society.

Maybe I just think too much.
