In Arabic language there are so many equivalents for the word " Hello".

1. Asalamu Alaikom ( it has a slight religious connotation)

2.Marhaban. ( Informal and friendly)

3.Ahlan ( in libyan dialect we say " Ahleen" ^^)

Germany

Hello in German is just "Hallo" very simple!

and in my mother tongue Vietnamese: Xin chao.

But sometimes if you want to greet a special person, like an old woman or something you have to attach a particular suffix, in that case it would be: Chao Ba.

but it depends on the person's gender and age which suffix you have to use.
