Suicides...

April 03…
I was coming home from the Organization…
When my cousin messaged me a bad news that…
“Samair…(my childhood friend…) has committed suicide…”

I felt a sudden shut down inside me…
& i sat on a corner… my mind started to show me the time i spent with him like movies…
the smiles… the tears… the fights…
the tensions… the plannings…
working socially… studying together…
the mischeviousness…
& everything ended on a same question… ‘WHY…?’

& when i got my mind back… i decided to go to my birth city to attend his funeral…
after his burrial… i met our different friends… collected information…
& i then met his Fiance…
& i came to know that Samair’s parents… She… & Her parents… were responsible for that all…

She forced him to marry soon…
Her Parents said they won’t let them marry untill he gets a good job…
& Samair’s Parents were against of their marriage anyway…
& Samair’s Parents were having affairs outside too…

So… when these all mixed up…
Snatched a loving childhood friend from me…
I showed my disability to have him back to them…
I showed my anger to them…
but that was of no use…
Cuz he had gone… from where nobody ever got back…

Well… the reason to share this all with you is not that i wanna share my sadness with you…
but the reason is that i don’t wanna see more people raising this step…

Most of us… who read this… either ‘ARE…’
or ‘WILL BECOME…’ Parents in future…
Many of us would have Fiances…

So… i beg you all…
PLEASE NEVER EVER BOUND PEOPLE AROUND YOU… (SPECIALLY YOUR KIDS…)
SO MUCH THAT THEY FIND HARD TO EVEN BREATHE…

If you wanna see your people living long then provide them confidence…
If you wanna see your KIDS living long then the more Confused… Tensed… & Angry your kids are…
the more Polite…Kind… & Calm… you’d have to be…
Otherwise so many Samair would be seen eveyrwhere…
& I DON’T WANT THIS TO BE…

Give some space to your people…
Listen to them… Show them your Concentration…
Show them that ‘YOU CARE…’
make them feel that ‘THEY’RE NOT ALONE…’
thay have ‘YOU…’ with them…
Show them that there ‘IS…’ a solution…

& if we saved atleast ‘ONE LIFE…’ this way…
then we’d proved… that God didn’t make ‘A MISTAKE…’
BY MAKING US THE GREATEST CREATURE AMONG ALL…

Let’s see some statistics…

- One million approximate number of suicides worldwide each year.

- Every 40 seconds somebody dies by suicide.

- 60 per cent increase in worldwide suicide rates in last 45 years.

- Women are more likely than man to attempt suicide, while men are much more likely to succeed.

– Almost 1 in 5 teens had thought about suicide,
  about 1 in 6 teens had made plans for suicide,
  and more than 1 in 12 teens had attempted suicide in the last year.

– More than 30,000 commit suicide each year…
  and 5,000 of these people are teenagers… (ONLY IN U.S.A…)

- The World Health Organization… (WHO…) estimates that each year approximately one million people die from suicide…
Which represents a global mortality rate of 16 people per 100,000 or one suicide every 40 seconds…
It is predicted that by 2020 the rate of death will increase to one every 20 seconds…

CAN’T WE SAVE ATLEAST ONE…?
WE CAN SAVE MUCH MORE…
IF WE CARED…

You are talking about committing suicide, aren’t you? Okay! It’s just your personal opinion and of course none can forbid you to post this here, but I wouldn’t really call people committing suicide selfish.

Of course it is a bad thing, since this deed will make the relatives of the suicide suffer. I agree on that! On the other hand a poor beggar who steals bread from a baker to save himself from starvation may also cause some trouble for the baker – perhaps even big trouble - and yet I suppose you wouldn’t call a poor beggar like that selfish, would you? At least I wouldn’t.

People who want to commit suicide just need some time till they have grown mature and mentally – strong enough to deal with their problems. This isn’t selfishness, but temporary helplessness. They are like trees: During their youth and growth it’s easy to destroy them, but when they have become strong and big oaks they are ressistent towards any disease or any other danger that would have meant their death if it had happeneded when they were younger. You understand this comparison?

Our mood would be spoiled if you sit in a corner & be upset… but if you share… then we’d be happy… :)
