Suggest me some good movies

Hi All,

Please suggest me some good movies that will help me to improve my english and also understand the British accent.Kindly note that the movies must NOT  contain steamy scenes as I am a conservative.The movies must be thrilling to watch and at the end of the day I must have gained something from it.I prefer historical and real life stories.I often hear that Godfather is a great movie.I must admit that i have never watched Godfather and i will begin by watching that movie.

THE GREEN MILE IS A STEPHAN KING'S NOVEL

 TOM HANKS PLAYED THIS FİLM  I THINK THE FILM AS GOOD AS ITS BOOK
