Hi ekieen, in this example, the speaker is saying that the mall makes her uncomfortable because everything in it is made of plastic. Malls are usually new buildings full of new items and all that plastic bothers the speaker. Perhaps it reminds her of a hospital or something. She likely prefers older buildings made of wood and brick or items not made of plastic like books.
