Sometimes, you work really hard and don’t really get anywhere. This was true in the classic movie, 9 to 5, starring Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lilly Tomlin.
Steph saw it last weekend and is on her way to return the video today.
Listen in before she does.

Steph: I have to go bring this video back to the video store.
Derek: Oh, really? What video is it?
Steph: 9 to 5. Have you seen it?
Derek: I think I saw it a long time ago. Did you like it?
Steph: I did like it. It was really cool. It was just at the very beginning of, ya know, when women were entering the workforce.
Derek: Oh, yes. All this women’s lib and going off to work and day care.
Steph: Yeah. It was really funny to watch it from, ya know, our cultural perspective and go back to the 80s when, ya know, it was so new and women were all secretaries.
Derek: Yeah. I remember it seemed kind of shocking to everybody when they wanted to actually work.
Steph: I know. Isn’t that weird? I mean, some days I wish I didn’t have to work, but I couldn’t imagine not being able to.
Derek: Yeah. So, times change and things feel a little bit different when you look back sometimes.
Steph: Yeah. I guess so. Well, I’m gonna go return this movie. I’ll see you at work tomorrow.
Derek: All right.
