Miguel: So Joe, what’s new in hip-hop these days?

Joe: I have one word to say, that’s Jay-Z. Jay-Z is hot. He has the hottness right now. Everybody’s on Jay-Z.

Miguel: So what, he has a new album or what?

Joe: He has a new album, I mean he has an excellent clothing line, but his album is is off the hook. It’s called The Blueprint.

Miguel: Uh, yeah actually I think I heard of that. What’s the real popular song off that album?

Joe: So many. I mean there’s a song called “Girls, Girls, Girls,” um, the, the, the single that came off the album is called “Jay to the Izzo.”

Miguel: Oh, is that the one that has the thing that no one can understand?

Joe: “H to the Izzo, O to the Izzay,” something like that. But, but you know where he got that from was, he got that from Snoop Dogg[/def]. See he heard Snoop Dogg talking like that on a on a couple of albums and he just thought it was great and so he he implemented it into his own single.

Miguel: So you think that’s cool that he just like pinches Snoop’s style?

Joe: Not really. I think he should just come up with something original, but I I like the fact that he recognizes a true hip-hop pioneer like Snoop Dogg.

Miguel: What do you think about the whole East Coast/West Coast thing? Is that squashed now especially if, uh, Jay-Z is, um, copying Snoop?

Joe: Yeah that’s totally squashed now.
