Miguel: So, dude, how was the Busta Rhymes show the other night?
Joe: Incredible! Fantabulous!
Miguel: Why? Why do you say that? What was so good about it?
Joe: Busta Rhymes sounds just like he sounds on the CD. He has phenomenal energy.
Miguel: That’s kind of a trip because some rappers just sound horrible live, you know, and especially him because he has such a unique voice and he, he raps so fast. You’d think it would be hard to do it live.
Joe: Exactly, you know, and I think that he put a lot of critics to rest because it’s really hard to believe that he can really rap that fast. But when he was on stage, he was rapping exactly the same speed that he raps on the CD and it was crazy.
Miguel: Can you understand what he’s saying when he’s rapping that fast?
Joe: Um, some of the stuff he’s saying. In the song “Break Ya Neck” I understand kind of what he’s talking about. You know, he’s telling everybody to get on the dance floor and break their neck.
Miguel: What does that mean? Break your neck? He, he’s not telling people to actually break their neck. What, what’s he saying?
Joe: Uh, it’s, it’s, it’s a hip-hop phrase like, “break ya neck.” You know, when you listen to a hip-hop song that is very energetic and really exciting you tend to nod your head. He’s saying break your neck because he wants you to nod your head really fast because the beat is is really incredible, it’s hot.
Miguel: So, it’s like, you should be bumping your head to the music so much your gonna get whiplash or something.
Joe: Exactly.

I wish I would have gone to the concert. I like Busta Rhymes. He’s one of my favorite rappers.
