The action on American Idol is heating up. After last Wednesday’s episode, only two contestants, Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini, are still on the show. The American people voted the 3rd finalist, Nikki McKibbin, off the show after last week’s performances.
Kelly Clarkson is an extremely talented singer. One of the judges compared her voice to Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. Simon, who is the meanest of the three judges, called her ’’the best singer in this competition.’‘
Kelly is competing against Justin Guarini, one of the most loved guys in the competition. Justin is a handsome man with a beautiful voice. About Justin, Simon said, “We were asked what is the X Factor. It’s very simple. It’s you.” Simon meant that Justin has star quality. When he’s onstage he looks like a famous person.
The competition ends soon and people everywhere are excited to find out who’s going to win.

I have to admit, I haven’t watched American Idol very often. I think I’ve seen one or two episodes. However, I do know that the best contestant on the show isn’t going to win. I could tell from one episode that the most talented person was Tamyra Gray. About her, Simon said, “This girl is what the competition is all about. This girl is a star.”
Tamyra was voted off the show a couple of weeks ago, but she’s still going to be famous. I’m sure of it.
