Christina Aguilera is a music superstar, there’s no doubting that. But unlike some other people who have become extremely popular in the past few years, Christina actually has extraordinary talent. She has one of the most powerful and beautiful voices ever given to a human being. She is capable of singing in ways that very few others ever have or ever will.
Christina’s new album, Stripped, shows her unique abilities, and greatly expands on the talent Christina showed on her first album. Read on to learn more!

Dialog

Christina Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New York. Her family later moved to Pittsburgh, where Christina grew up. After spending time in the Mickey Mouse Club with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake as a child, Christina recorded her first album in 1999. It was a smash. It featured 4 #1 songs and sold over 12 million copies worldwide.
After her initial and immediate success, there was a lot of expectation for Christina’s sophomore album. Stripped didn’t disappoint. It’s already produced two hit songs, “Dirty” and “Beautiful,” and it features guests such as Lil’ Kim, Dave Navarro, Redman, and Alicia Keys.
In addition to singing, Christina also cowrote most of the songs on her new album. The writing is good – much better than that on her first album. Check out some of the lyrics to “Beautiful:”
Everyday is so wonderful,
then suddenly, it’s hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure,
from all the pain
I’m so ashamed
I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes words can bring me down
So don’t you bring me down today

Discussion

With her second album, Christina Aguilera shows that she’s grown up a lot. She’s no longer an innocent teenager. She’s a woman, with complex feelings and emotions. Stripped is full of adult issues and doesn’t have any of the bubblegum pop featured on her first album. Christina sings movingly, with a diverse range of powerful emotions.
I have to admit, I didn’t think Christina Aguilera was ever going to be an interesting musician. I knew she had a great voice, but I had no idea that she’d be able to sing with so much emotional range. I really like Stripped and I definitely recommend it.
Rock on,
Migs
