Steph: So, I found out about this new band and I think that they’re really cool.
Derek: Really? Who are they?
Steph: Well, their names are Damon and Naomi.
Derek: Damon and Naomi. Is that the band name?
Steph: Yep. That’s the band name and that’s their name, too.
Derek: Oh. Very good.
Steph: Yeah. They used to be in a band called, um, Galaxy 500.
Derek: Galaxy 500. Really?
Steph: Mmmhmm. Yeah. They’re a typical indie band. Pretty lo-fi if you know what I mean.
Derek: I know exactly what you mean. Portland’s got a lot of those.
Steph: Yeah. And they’re, actually they’re from New York and they’ve toured around the world. Um, they play a lot in Japan.
Derek: Oh really? That must be fun.
Steph: I know. They really love it there.
Derek: What kind of music is it? Just regular indie music?
Steph: Kind of indie, singer-songwritery.
Derek: Aaah. Very good.
Steph: Yeah. I can’t wait till their new album comes out.

Seriously, this band is really great! They have a really long history and play entertaining shows!
Whenever I hear about a new band or story about a band, I get super excited and feel like I should tell all of my friends. Do you do that too? It’s so much fun to get together and talk about what’s new and up-and-coming.
See you later!
Steph
