The Portland music scene is brimming with fresh talent. You never have to ask IF there will be a good band, rather WHICH great band you want to see.
One band, in particular has really struck a chord with Steph. Now she can’t help but spread their gospel.

Derek

Steph:  So, Derek, have you ever heard of the Portland band The High Violets?

Derek:  Ya know, I haven’t heard of them.

Steph:  They’re actually a really great local band. I really think that they’re gonna go places.

Derek:  Really? What kinda music?

Steph:  Well, they kinda play pop rock music. And it’s really fun because they have fog machines and lights and they do all the bells and whistles. They pull out all the stops when they play.

Derek:  That’s really cool. It’s always nice to go to a show where you actually get to see a show.

Steph:  Yeah. It’s a full-on performance. Ya know, they get out there and, um, they have their fog machine and the lights. And the music is really excellent, too.

Derek:  Well, that always helps.

Steph:  Totally. Yeah. They just went down to San Francisco and Los Angeles. And I think that when they come back, they’re gonna have some good stories to tell.

Derek:  Like, maybe a contract?

Steph:  Hopefully.

Derek:  Cool.
