Steph: Hey, John. Did you go check out that link for PINE_am**_?
John: No, I didn’t. Was that that Japanese band?
Steph: Yeah. Totally. They’re a Japanese band and they were doing their American tour.
I thought that you would love it since you have such an affinity for Japanese people.John: I really should listen to it. I have, it’s actually been a long since I’ve listened to some good J-pop. That’s what it is right?
Steph: Yeah. It’s kind of, it’s almost, like, post J-pop. Ya know, um, some of the J-pop is very simplified and this is more, uh, complex.
John: And you’ve heard them live right?
Steph: Totally. Yeah. Actually, our band played with them a couple weeks ago. It was totally fun.
John: So, do they have a cool routine? Do they dance around?
Steph: Yeah. They totally dance. And they wear matching outfits. And they all have keyboards and they have their drums pre-programmed into a laptop. They were awesome.
John: Oh. That sounds great. I’ll have to check it out for sure.
Steph: Yeah. It was cool.

There are a lot of people in America who like J-pop. You can go on the internet and join groups of people who share the same tastes in music. When I checked it out, there were groups into J-pop, J-rock and other modern styles of Japanese music.
Of course, we also love music from other places, too. A lot of people are into Latin music or European music.
The bottom line is that America is a big mix of people and we like music from everywhere.
