Bathing is one of those rituals we all participate in, but we all have our own personal preferences about it. Pretty much everyone loves the feel of hot water. But some folks prefer a shower and others love a bath.
Of course, many of us may not have a choice. There are plenty of apartments that do not even have bath tubs. If you usually bathe at the gym, then a shower is your only option.
For many people though, there is nothing like a good soak in hot water to relax your muscles and warm you up. And when you don’t have a hot tub at home, the bath tub is the next best thing.
Listen to Toby and Logan talk about showers and baths.

Toby: So, you know, it got really, uh, cold last week and I took a hot bath for the first time in months. Are you into baths?
Logan: No. Why would you like to… why would you wanna bathe? You wanna sit in your own filth for a half hour? I just, I don’t know, I’m really OCD about cleanliness…
Toby: I’m getting that.
Logan: I just can’t sit in my own filth. I’m a shower person. Do you… Let me ask you this: Do you shower after you bathe?
Toby: Yes. I do.
Logan: OK. So you do rinse off. You don’t just get out and towel off and go to sleep.
Toby: No. I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t do that.
Logan: Just…so you’re in there for the soothing part of it.
Toby: I’m in there for the soothing. I can stay in there for, like, two hours. I just crank some music and…
Logan: The hot tub style?
Toby: I just zone out. Yeah. Like a hot tub, but I don’t have a hot tub.
Logan: See, I could see that. I still wouldn’t do it.
Toby: Never?
Logan: I’d sit in a hot tub but not in a bath.
Toby: Why would you sit in a hot tub but not a bath?
Logan: ‘Cause there’s water being filtered with chlorine in it.
Toby: You’ve got a real thing about cleanliness, Logan.
Logan: I just, I don’t know. I’ve never, I’ve never taken a bath… maybe when I was a child, but… I just, I can’t …I’m a shower person, always will be, always have been.
Toby: I wonder if it’s more of a girl/guy thing. Like, I wonder if more women are into baths?
Logan: It does feel… it does seem a little bit more feminine…
Toby: They have all the, like, bubble bath stuff.
Logan: Yeah.
Toby: I’m not into bubble baths, but…
