Childhood Stars

Childhood Stars

Widespread fame is a very unique and powerful experience that most people will never have. But fame finds some actors and musicians at a very young age. Can you imagine growing up famous and being on the cover of a magazine before your first kiss?

Fame at a young age sounds like a very exciting life and it often is, but it can be difficult to maintain. Careers that start so early often end early, too, and young stars become washed up before they’re fully grown.

Marni:  So I was just reading an article on Dakota Fanning...

Kevin:  Childhood star…

Marni:  Big, big childhood star. That was actually the point of the article was childhood stars and you know she’s so adorable in Sam I Am, that movie.

Kevin:  So cute, yeah.

Marni:  And now she’s just getting to that slightly older, a little more awkward, not quite as adorable, you know pre-pubescent age where it just seems like a lot of childhood stars just sort of hit that mark and they kind of just fizzle, and maybe they should just go and be cryogenically frozen for 10 years, I don’t know.

Kevin:  They should take a hiatus, have a break for a couple of years until they look like adults and can act like adults and get past that awkward stage.

Marni:  Yeah, well it seems like that’s when a lot of their careers sort of flounder is that early teen…I mean there are certainly exceptions, I guess Lindsay Lohan and Hillary Duff were big teen sensations.

Kevin:  Kind of debatable though, but I know what you mean.

Marni:  But a lot of ‘em, that whole childhood star phenomenon it seems to be like this repeating tragedy.

Kevin:  It’s quite sad, actually.

Discussion

Marni recently read a magazine article on Dakota Fanning and childhood stars in general. She and Kevin agree that Fanning was good in I Am Sam (which Marni calls Sam I Am) and that she is very cute.

But Marni says that she fears that Fanning is getting a little older and that she may not be so charming in her teenage years. She notes that a lot of young stars have a hard time maintaining success as they grow up. She jokes that they ought to be frozen to preserve their youth. Kevin says they could at least take a break until they are adults and have skipped over the awkward teenage years.

Marni suggests a couple of exceptions who maintained their popularity into adulthood. Kevin isn’t really sure if Lindsay Lohan or Hillary Duff count as successful childhood stars, but he and Marni agree that it’s sad when fame comes and goes very quickly for a young person.

Do you have a favorite young star? Did you want to be famous when you were little? Would you like it if one of your kids became a star?

i think it is better to give the children one happy childhood do whatever they wanna once they like.Maybe the fame is one good opportunity but if they get bigger and bigger the success is no longer the chance it will be one sad thing.

Say the true, I like Kevin MCdonals, whom was lead star in the filim "Alone at home". He play this role very perfect, and as heard by this film he make there parents don't broke up (don't divorce) in that times. So as it seems sometimes being star in the childhood it's not bad, almost good. Of course it's happen with not all childhood starsbut nevertheless. Hmmm i didn't want to be a star in childhood, couse then i can't study more and spend my childhood.

making your name household is not a simple thing for an adult as well as for a kid .therefore,I always admire those who dream of becoming a  big star and strive for it .because as i see it ,being a public guy one  in the show business one should bear quite a lot of pressure.one's behavior does not always represent what is actualluy in his mind.he or she may be very tired both physically and metally.so,if one day i have a baby ,i will try every possible means to stop him from becoming famous that way.maybe this is why my parents once did to me when i had the dream at the very ealy age .Understandable

being famous at young age really is very exciting thing and also can get money to support family or whatever desires he/she wants. but on another hand maybe lose many happiness ordinary children could have and there will be a hard time to go through once you are not popular in public, when your popularity fade away. there are two childhood stars i liked them very much, and very adorable in their childhood star careers, very famous. but when they disappeared for years and back screen, i cant see any lovely or cute or good from them, they no longer adorable but still struggling to perform good which in my eyes just the old way they did when they small which looked strange in their present age. they give me  a impression , they just lost, cant find a right way to go on. if i had a babe, i'd like to let himself/ herself to choose what kind of way they want to go and aways give them my best suggestion and support.
