Definition

1. Definition - Study the definition.

we experience growing pains when change is difficult or uncomfortable; sometimes they are physical, other times they are emotional or psychological

2. Use - Learn how the slang is used.

The first time I heard the phrase growing pains, I was in the 4th grade. Someone in the 6th grade said that they were having growing pains. I was terrified that I would get them eventually. I never had physical growing pains like that other kid, but I had emotional growing pains. These are the feelings that come when changing, or growing is difficult. Growing pains can be personal or for a group. My band is having growing pains right now. The excitement of being a new band is over and we are growing up. It’s hard because you never know what could happen in the future. For me, a lot of the growing pains we experience are from learning new things and not knowing what the future will bring.
-Steph
