1. Quote - Listen to the quote and guess what the slang means.

“As boring as it might sound, we just totally dig each other.”

1. Definition - Study the definition.

like, enjoy

2. Use - Learn how the slang is used.

Dig” can be used in a variety of situations, but it is a very informal word and is more appropriate for friendly conversations. You probably shouldn’t use it in a job interview, but it will make you sound cool when you’re just hanging out with friends. Basically, when you “dig” something, you really like it. You think it’s cool.

1. Examples - Hear some example sentences.

“I really dig Chinese food. It’s by far my favorite. I dig that jacket. Where did you get it? My brother digs your new bike. He wants to get one just like it. I really dig that girl Sherry. I hope she’ll go to the party with me.”

I think that that phrase “As boring as it might sound, we just totally dig each other” means that they really like each other, probably they hit it off with each other.
