Intro

Last week on the soap, Jason learned via text message that Mason and Amanda are now together. This came as quite a surprise to him because just a few weeks ago Mason encouraged him to try to date Amanda.
And try he did. Though it wasn’t going very well, Jason was hopeful. But truly, he didn’t stand a chance because Amanda really liked Mason.
So while Mason is the lucky one because he got the girl, he also has to apologize to Jason for accidentally misleading him.
3. Watch - Watch the video without reading the dialog.

Mason: Here you are, buddy.
Jason: Thanks.
Mason: So, uh…so. Uh, I guess we got something to talk about.
Jason: I guess so.
Mason: Uh, yeah, so, I don’t know, man. Last time we talked we were talking about Amanda and I was all stoked for you.
Jason: That’s true.
Mason: And I was, man, I don’t want you to think that I wasn’t, but, uh, I was hanging out with Amanda kind of recently and something clicked. Something was different.
Jason: Yeah. No, I can see that. I mean, I’m not mad or anything. It makes sense.
Mason: You sure? I mean, I kinda feel like I violated the code or something like that.
Jason: No, I mean, I know that you didn’t mean me any, like, harm or anything and it was just that…I mean, I can sort of see it, you know? Like you guys are really good friends and I guess it just sorta happened or whatever. I don’t think you ever would have told me to go for it if you hadn’t been…
Mason: No, totally.
Jason: ...if you didn’t mean that. So…
Mason: Totally. Yeah. I’m glad it’s relatively OK. So let me know if there’s anything I can do.
Jason: Alright. Yeah. No worries.

Mason brings a beer to Jason, who looks like a mess and is sitting at a table being bummed out. He stammers for a moment but eventually begins the conversation that they have to have.
Mason explains that shortly after he told Jason to go ahead and date Amanda, something changed in his mind. Jason says that he can see that Mason and Amanda have a special connection.
But Mason still feels as though he’s done something wrong. Jason assures him that he’s forgiven and that he knows that Mason wouldn’t lead him astray on purpose.
