Last week’s soap opera ended on a cliffhanger. Dale and Ella were in hot pursuit of Beren when Marni and Mason saw Dale and Ella, thought they were acting strangely, and began following them!

One by one, they went into Beren’s building, but Marni and Mason were locked out of where Dale and Ella had gone…down into Evil Beren’s basement hideout!

Dale:  Man, it’s hot down here. I’ll leave my coat upstairs.

Ella:  Oh man, I’m cold. I think we’re hot on her trail.

Dale:  Let’s turn and see.

Ella:  Come on.

Dale:  Wow.

Ella:  What is this?

Dale:  Man.

Ella:  Smells God awful down here.

Evil Beren: Ssh!

Ella:  Look!

Dale:  Woah! There’s a chair!

Ella:  It’s empty though. We just missed her. The chair, it’s still warm.

Dale:  The water, it’s still cold.

Ella:  We’re close!

Dale:  We’re very close.

Evil Beren: If you make one sound, I’ll do you in. It’s curtains. It’s all over.

Beren:  I’ll be quiet. I’m sorry.

Dale:  It looks like we lost her.

Evil Beren: Meet me at the waterfront at twelve. No. I have my list of demands. I need twelve million dollars in unmarked bills, plane tickets to Istanbul...Mhmm. No. Coach is fine. No. Beren will be OK. OK. I’ll see you there at the waterfront.

When Dale and Ella get into the basement, they find a warm chair and cold water, evidence that Beren has just left.

They don’t realize that Evil Beren is just around the corner, keeping Beren quiet. She says she’ll kill her if she makes any noise.

Dale and Ella give up and leave the basement. Later, Evil Beren calls them and tells them that if they meet her and give her some money and plane tickets, she’ll let her sister go without hurting her.

In the movie Airheads, one of the characters famously asks the police for a football helmet full of cottage cheese as one of his demands to release some hostages. If you were a criminal negotiating with the police, what your demands be?

I have to answer the grammar point question question:

 if Dale and Ella don’t find her soon, Nice Beren would be die and her friends catch Evil Beren.

That is really huge gross, Commiting that kind of crime is punishable by law.

But I'm such a nice girl, never think about it before, lol~

 

Ok, I will do some preparation before committing criminal. Open a safe account, settle my family, change anything that can connected to me. It'll be much easier in China than in US or Europe I think, people use cash here, no teeth or finger print record in police files if you are clear before.

 

What's my demands? Money, of course money!  Old paper money, no serial numbers, all in cash! Cash is safe, bank system is dangerous. :p
