Guess what?

Yep, another cool phrase for today. lol.

Here it is...

"I've got a lot on my plate"

I hope you sign up to my free Spoken English PDF email series.  You'll learn some cool stuff in there for sure. You can see the email box at the bottom of this article I wrote for Spoken English Tips

Ok, back to the phrase of the day.

If you've "got a lot on your plate" it means that you are very busy right now.  This generally is about having a lot of work to do.  It is a good excuse to use if you don't want to take on more work.

Here's a great example, "I've got a lot on my plate right now. I'm currently working for 3 different companies and I really have no extra time.  Hopefully we can work together next year after my schedule clears up"

Here's yesterday's free lesson:  Free Spoken English Course

Your comments and "likes" are really keeping me going.  Thanks everyone!

you watch too much tv:) i spend too much time on line, but thank this i improve my english and i learn other things,so i don't think this is a wasted time.

I can't believe how hard some people work either, but they say the more you work the more free time you have (something like that) :) and i know that's true.

Andy you do an useful work over here, maybe you don't realize how great and useful it is for/to all of us,but we will let you know about it;)Thank you!

I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I complain about "having a lot on my plate" but it's kind of an excuse because I'm a bit disorganized and I watch too much TV.  I guess I can use the excuse that TV watching helps with my English lessons because it reminds me of some cool words to teach.  Haha.  Another excuse!  I can't believe how hard some people work though.  It's amazing.  I'm trying to get better each day and learn how to really do some hard and useful work in this world.
