Intro
When the Eiffel Tower was first built, many Parisians hated it and called it an eyesore. Today, it is one of the most famous monuments in the world. Public art such as a monument, mural, or statue of a historical figure is meant to make a city more beautiful. However, it can be controversial if the public finds it ugly or strange. Yet, like the Eiffel Tower, a piece of public art that is hated at first may become a beloved symbol over time.
