Marni:  Jason, if you could go anywhere in the world this year, travel to any country, any island, anywhere, where would you go?

Jason:  Well, the key is this year, because the place I would go is Cuba, because Cuba is changing so rapidly, and I understand that it’s, in some ways, a time capsule right now. There’s all these old cars and old architecture, and things just really haven’t been updated. So I would love to travel through time, and it seems like going to Cuba is a good way to do that.

Marni:  I couldn’t agree more. Cuba is so high on my list because I think it’s a fascinating place. But this is a huge world and we have so many places we could possibly go. I personally know that I won’t be traveling anywhere out of the country, so I’m looking at more local travel within the United States.

Jason:  You do? How do you know?

Marni:  I’ve got a lot going on already, so I know that I’m gonna be staying local. But I am planning on visiting one of our national parks over the summer.

Jason:  Oh, OK, which one?

Marni:  I’m gonna be going to Yosemite, and I’ve never been there.

Jason:  Yeah, I mean that’s great. But like, I think to me it’s about prioritizing. I want to get to the places that are happening, and that are gonna change. I mean, when you travel somewhere, you’re not just traveling to another place, you’re traveling to that place at a particular time. You only get this little window there, so you have to time your travel just right, I think.

Marni:  There you go, yeah. I think you make an excellent point. Well, I wish you well on your travel adventures.

Jason:  Gracias.

Go Super to Listen Go Super!

Marni asks Jason where he would go if he could go anywhere in the world this year. He says that this year, he wants to go to Cuba because he thinks it would be a fascinating place to visit right now because of the beautiful architecture and old cars. Jason thinks that Cuba is changing quickly, and he wants to see it before it’s too different.

Cuba is a place Marni would like to visit as well. But this year, she plans to stay a bit more local. She is going to visit Yosemite National Park, in California.

If you could go anywhere in the world this year, where would you go? Do you have any trips planned for 2012 so far?

Lesya wishes she could answer your questions, but it’s beyond her abilities, it’s just some laws her country has, like an embargo or something.

Laws don’t have to make any sense to you, you just have to abide to them.
