“I tried to go to college, but I didn’t really fit in. I went to a really narrow-minded school, where people gave me a lot of trouble. I just looked different and acted different, so I left school.”

not willing to listen to other people’s ideas
2. Use - Learn how the slang is used.
John and Jacob are talking about music. John says that country music is the best and all electronic music is terrible. Jacob really likes electronic music, so he tells John that he wants to play some electronic music he thinks they will both enjoy. But John says no because he thinks it will be bad. John won’t listen to the new music because he is being narrow-minded.
If you are narrow-minded, it means you do not listen to other people and always believe you are right. A narrow-minded person won’t change his or her opinions, even if it is obvious that another answer is possible. Some people get ideas in their heads and decide that has to be the only way. This type of thinking is very narrow-minded.
Musician Bruce Springsteen says that he went to a really narrow-minded college, and he didn’t like that. He thinks it is hard to go to a school where they won’t let one be oneself, so he left.
Do you know any narrow-minded people? How do you talk to them?
