Some people never get the chance to experience what it’s like to live in the country. However, there are special trips you can take that show you what it’s like to outdoors. Basically, you can pay to live on a ranch or herd cattle for a couple of weeks. Some people consider this experience a vacation. They enjoy having a chance to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The movie City Slickers is a fictional portrayal of these kind of trips. Find out what Miguel and Nedra think about the movie by listening to their conversation.

Nedra: Miguel, have you ever lived in the country?
Miguel: Not really but I did see that movie City Slickers so I know all about it.
Nedra: Oh you think you do huh?
Miguel: Well I mean, you know that was a pretty informing movie.
Nedra: Yeah. Especially when Billy Crystal helps give birth to a calf huh?
Miguel: I don’t remember that. When did that happen?
Nedra: I think it was towards the end of the first movie, he got attached to one of the cows and no one around to help him so he had to, he had to do it by himself and he was…
Miguel: I think I forgotten all about it. So what happens is these two guys from the city go out and they’re on this like, adventure and Jack Palance is like their leader?
Nedra: Exactly. Exactly.
Miguel: Okay. And Jack Palance is like this tough cowboy type who knows everything about being in the wild and all that?
Nedra: Yeah. Uh huh.
Miguel: Okay. So then he dies?
Nedra: Yeah.
Miguel: But I thought he was in the second one?
Nedra: I think he faked his death or something.
Miguel: Oh. And he came back to life?
Nedra: Yeah. Yeah.
Miguel: Oh okay. Gotcha.
Nedra: And that’s something I’ve seen happen many times on the dairy.
Miguel: Really?
Nedra: Yeah!
Miguel: Did you ever help?
Nedra: No.
Miguel: Oh. You just watched?
Nedra: Yeah. Watched my dad help. It’s pretty amazing. It’s pretty cool!
Miguel: Are they all slimy when they come out?
Nedra: Yeah. But I mean within like a half an hour they’re really happy and they’re jumping around so they’re pretty cute.
Miguel: Wow. They can walk after a half an hour?
Nedra: Oh yeah.
Miguel: That’s that’s amazing.
Nedra: They’re very vibrant.

Discussion
Miguel and Nedra’s conversation is a little confusing because they start talking about the calf being born and then Miguel describes the main plot of the movie. Sometimes it’s hard to keep on the exact same subject when talking about movies because there are so many things aspects that can be considered.
See you at the movies,
Zach
