Greta

Dean:  My head is just…

Greta:  Yeah, go on, like what?

Dean:  It’s just somewhere else right now, that’s all.

Greta:   Do you want to talk about it?

Dean:  Somethin’ happened real strange today. Can’t tell anybody. Nobody.

Greta:  You don’t trust me?

Dean:  Well I’m listening to the guy. And the way he was coming at me I didn’t…

Greta:  I don’t understand what you’re talking about.

Dean:  The guy who approached me was a gambler.

Greta:  So, what’s your point?

Dean:  He offered me $50,000 dollars to throw a game.

Greta:  That’s the kind of thing Luke used to do when I was living with him. He would bribe players.

Dean:  Why would you want to live with somebody like that?

Greta:  Like, someone like you?

Dean:  What’s that supposed to mean?

Greta:  Well, he paid bribes, you’re going to take a bribe. What’s the difference?

Dean:  Should I do it or not?

Greta:  Be true to yourself.

DISCUSSION

Dean is very nervous. A person has just asked him to do something that is against the law. He doesn’t know if he should do it or not. He doesn’t want to break the law, but he wants the $50,000. He’s asking for Greta’s help, but she doesn’t want to give it to him.

Discussion

Black and White is a great movie to see if you’re interested in the way young people live in New York. However, it’s not a great movie. The cast is very talented, but none of them has a powerful impact on the movie. Unfortunately, another movie with great potential doesn’t live up to it. I give it a 6 out of 10 Have you seen Black and White and you want to share your opinion? Or maybe you have seen another movie recently you want to talk about? Well, come to the “Movie Madness” message board and tell us about it! From the front row, Migs
