Hello Movie Fans!
This week Josh and Zach plan to see the movie, The Two Towers, the second installment in the Lord of the Rings series. Josh is really excited, but doesn’t plan on taking the drastic measures some of the film’s fans are taking to get a good seat.
Listen and decide if you might want to venture out for this picture!

Zach: So Josh have you seen that new, uh, Lord of the Rings movie yet?
Josh: No, I, I’m going to see it, but, I mean it just opened and I don’t think I want to wait in a two hour line to see a movie.
Zach: Were there people camping out this time?
Josh: Yeah, I mean the hype for this movie was just huge. I’m sure it’s gonna be good, but camping out is out of the question.
Zach: Yeah, I, I can see why the hype’s there though. I liked the first one a lot. I thought it was one of the best movies I’ve seen in, you know, about ten years or so.
Josh: Yeah, I really enjoyed it! I got a little, uh, sore by the end. It was so long, just sittin’ in my theater chair that long, but it was definitely enjoyable. Um, I mean I expect this one to be too.
Zach: Yeah, it’s going to be great. Have you read the book yet?
Josh: Oh, I read the book when I was a kid. I read all the books. I haven’t re-read them, but I don’t think that takes away from the movie any.
Zach: No it shouldn’t. I heard the movie, this one’s a little bit different. Um, some of the middle chapters are a little different but I bet it will be good anyway.
Josh: Yeah, I think so.

Considered by millions throughout the world to be the greatest adventure ever told, J.R.R. Tolkien’s The *_Lord of the Rings trilogy chronicles the epic struggle for possession of the infamous Ring. If returned to its creator, the Dark Lord Sauron, the Ring will give him the power to enslave the world.
The trilogy was filmed like no other series has been before – three films were made simultaneously over a year and a half of production. Instead of the usual, making one and releasing it, making the next one and releasing it, etc…
The Two Towers expands*_ the world of Middle-earth introduced in the first film. The film is definitely not for young children or the faint of heart. It is rated PG-13 for epic battle sequences and some scary scenes.
See you at the movies!
