American Wedding

In the new movie American Wedding, also known as American Pie 3, the kids have grown into adults and Jim and Michelle are getting married – in a hurry! Jim’s grandmother is sick and wants to see Jim walk down the aisle, so they have to plan and have the wedding in only two weeks. Stifler will be there and plans to throw the ultimate bachelor party. Finch will be there too, but he’s most interested in the maid of honor, who happens to be Michelle’s sexy younger sister, Cadence.
Listen in to Zach and Miguel’s conversation to hear what they think about the new movie.

Miguel

Zach

Miguel: Hey Zach, are you gonna see American Wedding?

Zach: Uh, yeah, I’d love to see it. I saw the first couple of those, and they were great.

Miguel: I just watched the first one, American Pie, last night and it’s so funny. I really hope American Wedding, like, lives up to the American Pie standard.

Zach: Yeah, I heard the second one wasn’t as good. Um, actually I saw it and I don’t remember it that much, so that must be a sign that it’s not very good.

Miguel: Have you heard anything about American Wedding yet?

Zach: Yeah. I heard it’s better than the second one and it’s not quite as good as the first one. But they, they try to take some of the jokes a little too far.

Miguel: Yeah, that was kinda the problem with the second one is some of the stuff, like Stifler character was just, like, kinda overboard, you know. So hopefully they’ve toned that down a little bit.

Zach: Yeah, but those characters are so funny just to start with that I think it’ll be good.

Discussion

I have to admit, I did like the first American Pie movie. It was hilarious. However, one movie was enough for me. I didn’t see American Pie 2 and I don’t plan to see American Wedding. I’m just not interested in movies that are so silly and immature. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t see it! If you like movies that are full of stupid jokes and gross-out humor, I’m sure you’ll like American Wedding.
