Beth: Hey Zach, have you seen any good movies lately?
Zach: Yeah, I saw the, uh, Lord of the Rings with my little brother and sister and it was awesome. What about you?
Beth: I did. I just saw Cold Mountain with Nicole Kidman, Jude Law and Renee Zellweger.
Zach: That’s awesome. She won a award recently, didn’t she? Renee?
Beth: She did. Her performance in that film was unreal. Do you know much about the story?
Zach: Well, all I know is there, there was a novel and it’s about Civil War times.
Beth: Right. I actually didn’t read the book, but now that I’ve seen the movie I think I want to get the book. Um, it was a amazing… The cinematography was unreal and, and the story was beautiful and usually I’m not that into Civil War films, but the, the romantic side of it was really touching.
Zach: That’s cool. So it wasn’t one of those kinda boring old movies with, everyone’s in a costume.
Beth: No. It was actually, you know, fairly gory, and then, uh, the, the love story was a little bit sad.
Zach: That’s cool. Maybe I’ll have to wait until I’m in the right frame of mind, but it sounds like a great film.

Beth seemed to like Cold Mountain, but I’m not sure if she convinced me that I should see it. I heard from some other friends that it was a little bit slow and somewhat boring. However, the cinematography is supposed to be really good, and the actors are top-notch. I guess I’ll probably see it when I get some free time.
See you at the movies!
Zach
