Miguel: Beth, you gotta tell me about Starsky & Hutch. I’m so excited to see it.
Beth: It was so awesome. First of all, I was sitting next to about – I’m not joking – a hundred kids in high school. Everyone was there and they were laughing so hard. So the audience was making it really extra fun.
Miguel: That’s the best when the theater is packed full of people. There’s so much more energy, you know.
Beth: Totally. And the film was great. I mean, it’s just, you’re on the edge of your seat and you’re laughing and it’s, it’s hysterical. I mean, the characters were great. The costumes were unreal. The music was amazing.
Miguel: Is there a good story though? That’s the one thing with those kind of movies is sometimes the story’s really stupid.
Beth: Well, the story’s kind of out there, but, you know, it’s amusing and in the end I’d say you feel like the story comes to a appropriate conclusion.

Discussion
When I was a kid, I loved the Starsky & Hutch TV show. Beth didn’t say anything about how the movie relates to the show, but I bet it’s much different. The original wasn’t really a comedy, so that will be a big change. Also, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are totally hilarious, so I’m sure they’ll totally make the movie their own.
I can’t wait to check out Starsky & Hutch!
See you at the movies!
Zach
