What does "streaming" mean?

@kittykat, “streaming music” or “streaming movies” is the same as “playing music online” or “playing movies online”. So if you want to listen to music, you just can stream your favourite on Youtube or other music sites.

-Before, people had to buy CDs and tapes to listen to the newest albums and there favourite music, but now you can stream the newest songs on the internet.

-Youtube has a lot of streaming movies and clips that are all at your reach.

HOW WOULD BE ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF “STREAMING” BECAUSE I DIDN´T UNDERSTAND SO WELL?

We’d say ‘I watched a streamed match on the internet’.
