Qingdao, a beautiful seaside city, is located in the southeast part of Shandong Province. To the east, a short distance across the Yellow Sea, lie Korea and Japan, making Qingdao an important city for international trade.

For thirty three years, until 1949, Qingdao was a colony of Germany and Japan. As a result, buildins in Qingdao have a great deal of European architecture. This foreign architecture -a remnant of the colonial past- now beautifies this seaside city.

The red roofs, green trees, blue sea, and azure sky form a bright and colorful picture of Qingdao. The city is sometimes known as the Switzerland of the Orient.

Surrounded by the sea on three sides, Qingdao attracts many tourists with its charming seascape. Sights like the Eight Passes Villas, the Zhan Bridge, Wusi Square, Mt. Laoshan, will help you remember Qingdao. Just walking on the sand and listening to the surf breaking on the beach becomes enjoyable.

Qingdao offers food with distinctive flavors--especially seafood. So take this chance to enjoy the delicious seafood of Qingdao. Also, Qingdao is the home of the famous Qingdao (Tsingtao) Beer. Have a bottle of pure Qingdao Beer right here in Qingdao!

The Qingdao Municipal Government recognizes the importance of the tourism industry and has further plans to develop tourism in Qingdao. To enhance the tourism industry, Qingdao now sponsors the Qingdao International Beer Festival, the Qingdao International Sea Festival, Beach Culture Festival, the Sea Affection Festival, and the Summer of Qingdao Festival.

In cooperation with the Beijing Olympic Games 2008, Qingdao will hold the Sailing Competition in the Olympic Games in 2008. This great event brings a great opportunity for this charming city to build its bright future.

Shenzhen, the one-time small fishing village, singled-out by late Chinese paramount leader Deng Xiaoping, the chief designer of Chinese reform and opening, is a so-called one of the Special Economic Zones in China originally established in 1978. Formerly known as 'Bao'an County', it was promoted to prefecture level, directly governed by the Guangdong province in November 1979. In May 1980, Shenzhen was formally nominated as a 'Special Economic Zone (SEZ),' the first one of its kind in China. It was given the right of provincial-level economic administration in November 1988.

Shenzhen is located at the forefront of the Pearl River Delta and borders on the New Territories of Hong Kong in the south, Daya Bay in the east, the outlet of Pearl River and Dongguan and Huizhou in the north, being an important coastal communication hub in South China. Covering an area of 2,020 square kilometers, with a population of 7 million, Shenzhen had the highest population density of major cities in China. Shenzhen is a sub-tropical maritime region and its average temperature is 22.4 degrees Centigrade.

Shenzhen is the only city that owns seaports, airport and land ports in China. Its seaports are especially developed. The Shenzhen Port ranks sixth among world container ports. Shenzhen owns Luohu Port, the largest land passenger port in China and Huanggang Port, the largest land freight port. At the same time, Guangshen, Shenshan, Jingjiu and Guangshen expressways link Hong Kong, Shenzhen and inland cities.

The Shenzhen Stock Exchange was established on December 1, 1990. It is one of the two stock exchanges in mainland China (the other is in Shanghai).

Shenzhen is a newly emerging immigrant city. Its culture is different from the traditional culture of other cities. It is the transformation and activation of inland culture and the absorption and fusion of foreign culture oriented toward Hong Kong. Unique geological and cultural environment of Shenzhen has created Shenzhen culture featuring openness, tolerance and innovation.

Apart from commercial development, Shenzhen is also a rising city for tourism. There are more than 50 different scenic spots to visit whilst staying in Shenzhen, mainly including Window of the World, Splendid China, China Folk Culture Villages, Happy Kingdom, Safari Park Shenzhen and Evergreen Resort. Macao, also called Macau, is on the western side of the Pearl River entrance, at the head of which is the Chinese port of Guangdong and it stands opposite Hong Kong which is on the eastern side of the entrance. It is made of a small narrow peninsula(半岛) sticking out from Guangdong province. The total area of Macao is about 21.45 square kilometers, and it is made up of three parts: Macao Peninsula, Dingbat Isle and Lehman Isle.

Between Macao Peninsula and Dingbat Isle there are two bridges which join the two parts together, and there is also a highway between the Dingbat and Lehman Isles. Therefore, two bridges and one highway make the three parts of Macao into an integrated region(一个整体).

Macao faces to the vast sea and its back is the Pearl River Delta. The two big cities, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and the two special economic zones Hula and Shenzhen are its neighbors. All of this offers much advantage for its economic development.

Macao has a population of about 450, 000. This is very large against the size of the area. The average population density(密度) reaches 20, 000 per square kilometer. It is one of the densest population regions in the world. The majority of its people are Chinese, who make up 96% of the whole population.More information go to:www.jakarl.com
