Rainforest Of Malaysia

This has nothing to do with Malaysia’s nature, but since it at least concerns this country…and since I consider this as important…The German newspaper “Der Spiegel” published an article that talks about statistics according to which the persecution of homosexuals in this country has worsened during the last twelve months and may be even worse till the end of this year.
Neverminding many protests from foreign countries against this act of intolerance the Malaysian government still keeps persecuting these people and when they find one he or she usually has to spend twenty years in prison.
That’s beyond shocking – especially considering that this is more or less the punishment some other countries use in the case of a really horrible crime like rape or murder.

As a former teacher of mine once said, you should try to accomplish your political aims by becoming politically active, but if you’ve tried without success you still have enough time to mourn later.

I doubt we’ll be able to save all of these rainforests, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t even try.
Even if we can save only a part of them, it would be at least better than nothing.
On the other hand so many unexplainable and wonderful things already have happened that you can’t really say what’s possible and what’s not.

The photos I used to post here were clearer. Sorry, but I don’t know what went wrong. Maybe it’s just that there is a lot of haze in areas like this-or it’s the fault of the photographer.
