Mexican Rainforest - The Home of the Aztecs (Including My Tribute To Them - Which Of Course Is A Story)

“Tierschutz Euskirchen” says that this week police officers in Spain arrested a poacher for trying to sell 168 parrots illegally caught in the Mexican rainforest to customers in Germany. I presume he had lied to his customers about the origin of these birds.

The Baden-Wuerttembergian (Southern-German) newspaper “GEA” says that this week in Tultepex (Mexico) three workers died in an explosion in a firework-factory. It wasn’t until this day that the police found out about this enterprise using children as workers. Among the dead were two child-laborers.

A report by “Domradio” now claimed that Mexico currently is facing the following problems:
>Social injustice: Under the current government the wages of those working for them have increased while the state support for socially deprived people – while never having been too high – has decreased even.
>Organized criminality: Each day about 50 people get murdered – most of them not by unexperienced people, but by well organized criminal gangs. Some of these victims were held hostage before to gain some ransom, while others were involved in some drug-related business.

The German newspaper “Südwest Presse” says that this week in Stuttgart now the process against a firearm-producing Baden-Wuerttembergian enterprise started. As it seems from 2006 to 2009 they earned a high amount of money by some illegal exports of weaponry to Mexico.
