Tarita, that’s the key. They speak real life language. Nobody will slow down in real life. The phrase is out and gotta get it. There’s no script in real life. Anyway, it’s not the end of the world, we’ll nail it. As for documentaries, I love watching them. Right has got 3 for the weekend- Home, What Darwin didn’t know and the one you reccommended – The history of the world in 2 hours. Let’s watch it! Who is with me?!;)

ola33, I have to confess they speak too fast for me to understand the whole dialogue.
Sometimes even those who narrate documentary movies speak slower. There’s only one little thing left: to find a documentary with subtitles.

Tarita, EnglishBaby! Listen to the dialogues here. They’re very authentic like a real life conversation. Plus, you can always check yourself by reading the script.

ola33, :( (I’ve used this smiley because I don’t know how to express something about that site) I don’t know where I should start listening. I listened to “VOA Special English” once but there were many uninteresting topics. Movies are much more interesting, you know, but my comprehension skills are too bad to understand every phrase.
I’m thinking of Rosetta Stone. My friend use it, so I’m going to drop by her house and take that CD for a while.
I’ll tell you about Rosetta Stone later. But I think it’s for beginners (A0-A1)
