一般的科学道理认为，地震时房屋做上下摆动，应该是屋顶坏掉，柱子大多不坏，房屋做水平摆动，应该是屋顶的瓦片先散落、装饰物坏掉。象这种屋顶还保持完好，柱子断掉砸死人的，在正常的人类进程中，应该是没有的！

假设这样的事件，出现在少量的房屋倒塌中，我们可以承认是社会秩序失误、是事故；如果绝大多数房屋都是这样倒塌的，我们只能认定这里有一种浮而不实的政治风气，是危害民族，危害人类的，是美国政治所不能容忍的。如果卫星资料能够完全证实这些地震内容，我们工作目的是把印尼政权建设得诚实和脚踏实地，科技水平可以不做要求，以保证美国进入该国工作和旅游的公民有足够高的安全系数。
