I couldn't help but make note that the person or rather the gender of whom you had indicated you were soliciting to help with your English was "male" (he).  Would it matter if you had some one say, of the female gender assist you?

For me, I have found, and not to be sexist, that those humans amongst who make for better the teachers are women (generally and subjectively speaking).  Not to say that there are not any good male teachers - for there are many.  I mean, take me for example:  I mean to say that out of any gender, you won't find a better instructor than.... your's truly.
