The Underground Cistern Byzantium Basilica Cistern

the last picture(one that author of this thread has posted on the 2 page) is antique aqueduct . It was discovered in the underground comparatively recently (I mean in 20 century or so)in Istanbul .Actually was a reservoir in Byzantine Empire's time.

  (pls correct me if I recalled it wrong)

PS if you peer at water surface you will see my coin on the bottom which I  dropped there in the hope of coming back some day:)

istanbul is a paradise, I think everybody must visit istanbul in their life. everywhere smell history.
